Support2Talk is an independent speech and language therapy service
Support2Talk provides support for children with speech, language and communication needs both at home and in the school or pre-school environment. It is a private practice founded by Christine Gareis a registered speech and language therapist based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
How we work
Every child is unique with their own individual set of strengths and challenges. Christine believes that support should be personalised to fit the needs of the child and family. Working together with the people who play an important role in the child's life is the best way to help a child progress towards reaching their potential.
About Christine
About Christine
My name is Christine Gareis. I qualified as a speech and language therapist after obtaining a first class Honours degree in Clinical Language Sciences at Leeds in 2011. Since then I have worked across a number of roles across the NHS and not for profit sector before setting up as an independent practitioner in 2017. I have worked with children in a variety of settings including community clinics, nurseries/playgroups and mainstream primary schools. The children I work with may be experiencing difficulties with delayed or disordered language, delayed or disordered speech sounds and some may have needs in other areas such as social communication. My postgraduate area of interest is language and literacy and I was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction in this specialism at The University of Sheffield in 2018.
